My south asian friends cringe when i refuse or eat only half of that big plate of rice, deep fried sweets (Undu Wal) or ice cream. I'm not strictly trying to get six packs (well I kind of am) but trying to eat healthy. But its very hard with some food we south Asians love. The solution is to cook them in healthy ways. I use so many different creative ways to use less oil, less carbs in food i cook. Just thought of sharing some of those ways to eat South Asian food in healthy ways.
